High‑tech bridges across social gaps

Net@ is a four‑year extracurricular program combining computer science, personal growth and social impact for youth from Israel’s geographic and economic peripheries.

The program brings together Jewish, Muslim and Christian students to learn together, volunteer together and build shared leadership skills that strengthen their communities and promote coexistence. It is a joint initiative of Keren Hayesod‑UIA, The Jewish Agency, Appleseeds Academy and Cisco.

Learning technology and confidence

Net@ provides academic and hands‑on training in computer and network technology through a curriculum developed with Cisco’s Networking Academy and Microsoft. Students learn programming, network setup and IT essentials, building both technical skills and confidence.

Building community and coexistence

Alongside tech training, Net@ includes leadership and social activism modules that reinforce values of multiculturalism, democracy and volunteerism. Students use their skills to serve their communities and break down cultural divides. Special co-existence programs run at Net@ centres across Israel, integrating Jewish, Muslim and Christian youth in joint activities.

Long‑term growth and future readiness

Graduates are strong candidates for elite IDF units and higher‑education programs. They also access the Net@ Alumni Association, which offers career coaching, networking and continued professional development with Appleseeds.

Before Net@ there is Net@ Junior

Net@ Junior introduces 10 – 14 year olds to software, design and entrepreneurship, preparing them for the main Net@ program. This early exposure opens new horizons in English, teamwork and tech for future periphery leaders.
