For over 100 years, Keren Hayesod-UIA has worked to:
Formed in 1920 to help fund the creation of a Jewish homeland, Keren Hayesod-UIA played a key role in the founding of the State of Israel.
Today, it operates fundraising campaigns in over 60 communities worldwide, safeguarding Israel’s future and supporting its people every step of the way.
Founded in 1948, UIA Australia has remained steadfast in its commitment to the People of Israel. In the early days, we helped build the State of Israel. Today, we’re building a strong, inclusive and resilient Israeli society.
We raise funds to give Israelis of all backgrounds the tools to live with dignity, opportunity and hope. Our focus areas include:
Supporting Olim Hadashim fleeing the threat of war and the unprecedented rise in global antisemitism
Amigour sheltered low-rent housing enables Holocaust survivors and the elderly to live their lives in dignity
Tailored interventions for at-risk children, empowering them to become productive members of society
Connecting the diaspora through our shared love for Israel and it's people
A critical fund delivering immediate and long term grants for recovery and rehabilitation
UIA Australia works with trusted partners in Israel to ensure funds are used efficiently and transparently — creating real, measurable impact.
We work together with Australian Jewry and non-Jewish Friends of Israel to raise much-needed funds for the People of Israel.
We raise funds within Australia and transfer them directly to Keren Hayesod-UIA, which supports frontline partners like The Jewish Agency for Israel, delivering humanitarian programs across Israel.
UIA Australia is consistently working to keep our costs down and is committed to remaining transparent in how your generous donations are used to support the People of Israel.
82% of total operating expenses were transferred to UIA-supported projects and programs in Israel.
18% went towards essential day-to-day operating costs and activities to acquire and retain donors.
*2024 Financial Year
Since October 7 we have dramatically expanded our efforts to support the Victims of Terror across Israel with immediate and ongoing funds and programs. From emergency assistance grants in the first 24 hours after an attack to a diverse range of trauma-informed PTSD prevention programs to the physical and social rebuilding of entire communities, when our people in Israel are attacked, they know that their Australian family will step in to care for them in their time of need.
Whether you’re a young leader, a long-time supporter, or just getting started — there’s a place for you at UIA.
UIA is proud to support and partner with leading community organisations across Australia
